Shown are images with of this
spalted Maple
oil lamp
. Spalting is what happens to wood
when it gets wet as the wood ages. The result
is black lines that show in the grain. Many
people love the way the spalting adds contrast
to the grain of woods. Spalting adds grain
highlights and is often sought out by wood
turners and wood item collectors.
These lamps have a glass insert, with a glass
cap and wick. The lower glass insert  holds
lamp oil (not included). You can use scented
oils in these lamps if you like. The lamp
includes a small plastic funnel to help fill the
lamp.
The price of this lamp is $25 Canadian.
The lamp is for sale at the time this feature
was created. See the
For Sale Turnings page
to check on availability.
This type of lamp can also be made in a
variety of woods by custom request. Send a
Quote Request if you would like more
information.
There is no extra charge for a custom request.
If you like a item, but in a different wood or a
different shape than is shown, I can often
make if for you, subject to the availability of
suitable wood.
